Sampoerna Kayoe again participates in the ATRIA Architectural Design Exhibition 2024 at ITB by using Birch Plywood as an Exhibition Panel

Bandung, September 30th, 2024 – Sampoerna Kayoe, a leader in the wood product industry in Indonesia, is once again participating in the ATRIA Architectural Design Exhibition 2024, an annual architectural exhibition organized by the Architecture Study Program of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB). The participation is realized through the use of birch plywood from Sampoerna Kayoe as an exhibition panel to display the works of ITB students, lecturers, and alumni, as well as works from other leading universities.

ATRIA 2024, which took place at the East Campus Center Building, Ganesha Campus ITB, from 9 to 24 September 2024, carried the theme “Humanizing Humans Through Architecture”. This theme aims to explore how architecture can play an important role in responding to issues that are closely related to human needs. This exhibition involved the participation of students from various fields, including Architecture, Urban Design, and Landscape Architecture, as well as 12 state universities with legal entities (PTN-BH) from all over Indonesia.

As a company that is always committed to supporting education and the development of the architectural industry, Sampoerna Kayoe once again facilitates the use of Birch plywood as exhibition panels known for its strength, durability, and elegant aesthetic appearance, making it an ideal choice for exhibiting high-quality architectural works.

Rr. Diah Asih Purwaningrum, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Chief Executive of ATRIA 2024, explained that this exhibition is not only about displaying works, but also opening up discussions on social issues faced in the world of architecture. “Architecture is always closely related to human activities, and we hope that this exhibition can show how the works on display can be a solution to various human needs,” she said.

The rigorous curation process makes this exhibition an inspiring event, with the best works from various categories such as final projects, theses, architecture competition winners, and studio curation results selected by professional curators from the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI), the Indonesian Landscape Architects Association (IALI), and the Indonesian Urban Design Experts Association (IARKI).

Sampoerna Kayoe hopes that this support can strengthen its commitment to developing a sustainable architecture that focuses on human needs. Through this collaboration, we believe that architectural innovations from the younger generation can continue to develop and positively impact the wider community.
